Tajikistan and UN cooperation discussed in Ashgabat
DUSHANBE, 24.02.2017. /NIAT “Khovar”/. Farrukh Sharifzoda, Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan in Turkmenistan on February 21 met with UN Resident Coordinator, the newly appointed Head of this Mission Ms. Elena Panova in Ashgabat, the MFA Information Department reports.
According to the source, during the meeting the two parties have discussed the issues of cooperation of the UN and its agencies with Tajikistan, including cooperation within the implementation of the Resolution “International Decade for Action “Water for Sustainable Development”, 2018-2028”, on emergency situation occurred in areas affected by natural disasters in Tajikistan and on process of implementation of UN programs in Tajikistan.
