Tajikistan to receive more than 1 billion tourists up to 2020
DUSHANBE, 24.02.2017 /NIAT “Khovar”/. On the basis of the Concept of national tourism development Tajikistan should receive more than 1 billion tourists up to 2020. NIAT “Khovar” has been reported by the Committee for Youth Affairs, Sports and Tourism under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.
According to the source, currently from 119 touristic companies 51 are engaged in outgoing tourism and only others attract tourists.
“If in 2013 the number of touristic companies was 90 units, than in 2017 this number raised to 119 units. Currently, there are large tourist areas in Tajikistan and since the capabilities of these areas were not specifically presented in the tourism market they have not been included in the touristic routes”, — said the source.
