Turkish Deputy PM pays an official visit to Tajikistan
DUSHANBE, 09.02.2017. /NIAT “Khovar”/. On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Tajikistan and Turkey, as well as the holding of intergovernmental meetings the high level Turkish delagation led by Deputy Prime Minister of Republic of Turkey Mr. Tugrul Turkesh will arrive in Dushanbe, Expo Central Asia Mission in Tajikistan reports.
Accoring to the source, within the framework of the visit of Turkish delagation the Turkey – Tajikistan Business Forum and b2b meetings wil be held on February 16 in Dushanbe. These events will be attended by about 50 Turkish companies. On Tajik side, about 400 businesmen expected to participate the events. It is also planned the holding of b2b talks between the businessmen of the two countries.
Turkish delegation includes companies on fields of agricultural machinery, fashion, construction materials, logistics, cosmetics, jewellery, IT software, food and drink, service sector, food products, packaging, engeniering, and more.
The business forum and b2b meetings are organised jointly by DEIK, Turkey Foreign Economic Relations Board, Turkey-Tajikistan Business Council, and Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tajikistan, with the support of Ministry of Economy of Turkey, Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan, Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Tajikistan, as well as the State Committee on Investments and State Property Management of the Republic of Tajikistan.
Turkey is 16 th big economy in the world with its almost 1 trillion dolars GNP, with a foreign tradevolume of about 400 billion dollars annually. Number 6 country as tourism destination world wide.
By 2016, Turkey became the no: 1 market for Tajikistans export products, mainly alumunium produced by TALCO, cotton, yarn, dried fruits. Made in Turkey products available in Tajik markets for long years with their high quality repudation.
In recent years, Turkish investments in Tajikistan also increasing in different fields like alumunium, and plastics profiles, food, paint, carpet, and furniture productions.
Organisers hope that the visit of Deputy Prime Minister of Turkey and Business Forum will certainly contribute a lot to Tajik-Turkish bileteral economic relations and result increasing Turkish investments in Tajikistan.
