5.0 – 6.0 magnitude earthquake hits Tajikistan again
A 5.0 – 6.0 magnitude earthquake hit the Lakhsh district of Tajikistan, the press service of the Committee on Emergency Situations told Khovar.
«According to the Geophysics Service of the Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan, tremors were registered at 10:09 am local time,» the spokesperson said.
According to the Geophysics Service, the epicenter of the earthquake was located in the 265 kilometers northeast of Dushanbe not far from Kyrgyzstan’s border.
«In the city of Dushanbe, the magnitude of tremors was about 3.0 – 4.0» the press service reported.
A spokesperson for Tajikistan’s Emergencies Committee said it had no information so far on any casualties or damage from the quake.
