Prospects of Tajikistan-EU cooperation discussed in Brussels
On Tuesday May 16, the Foreign Minister of Tajikistan Sirodjidin Aslov held a meeting with the Secretary General of the European External Action Service Helga Schmid.
According to the Tajik MFA information department the two sides discussed state and prospects of further expansion of cooperation between Tajikistan and the European Union.
It was expressed satisfaction with the dynamically developing relations of Tajikistan and the European Union within the framework of various mechanisms of bilateral and regional cooperation.
The two sides had a fruitful exchange of views on key aspects of partnership between Tajikistan and the EU, including in the political and trade-economic areas, in the sphere of security and regional cooperation.
The Tajik side expressed hope for the support of the European Union in practical implementation of the National Development Strategy of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2016-2030, as well as the goals of the International Decade for Action «Water for Sustainable Development», 2018-2028.
The interlocutors also considered issues of the international agenda and other topics of mutual interest.
