Shavkat Mirziyoyev appoints Uzbekistan’s Special Representative for Afghanistan
A special representative of the President of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan has been appointed, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan said.
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev with his decree appointed Ismatilla Irgashev as his Special Representative for Afghanistan.
On 25 May 2017, Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov introduced Ismatilla Irgashev to the Board of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.
Prior to this appointment Irgashev had worked as ambassador of Uzbekistan to China, Mongolia and Azerbaijan.
