Interior Ministers of Tajikistan and Turkmenistan discussed issues of bilateral cooperation
DUSHANBE, 14.06.2017 /NIAT “Khovar”/. The Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Ramazon Rahimzoda has met with the Minister of Internal Affairs of Turkmenistan Isgender Mulikov in Ashgabat.
According to the press center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the country, the meeting was held on the sidelines of the high-level dialogue “Implementing the UN Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy”.
It is reported that during the meeting both parties having discussed issues of bilateral and multilateral cooperation, noted the need to strengthen cooperation in the exchange of operational information and to combat transnational organized crime.
A number of proposals to develop a legal framework for bilateral cooperation were also presented at the meeting. It was noted that the fight against terrorism, extremism, illegal drug trafficking and other types of organized crime require a joint interaction. The other issues of mutual interest were also discussed.
