UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres arrived in Tajikistan
DUSHANBE, 11.06.2017. /NIAT “Khovar”/. UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has arrived today, June 11, in the Republic of Tajikistan.
As the correspondent of NIAT “Khovar” reports, at the Dushanbe International Airport the distinguished guest was welcomed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan Sirodjidin Aslov and other officials.
It is expected that the UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres will be received by the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon. On June 12, he will attend a conference on sustainable development here in Dushanbe.
On June 13, Guterres will travel to Ashgabat, where it is expected that he will meet with Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov. In Ashgabat, he will also take part in the high-level dialogue on the implementation of the counter-terrorism strategy in Central Asia.
It should be noted that the UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has already visited Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan as part of his Central Asian tour.
