First meeting of the Joint Pakistani-Tajik Working Group on Trade, Investment and Transport was held in Dushanbe
DUSHANBE, 26.07.2017 /NIAT “Khovar”/. A two-day meeting of the Joint Pakistani-Tajik Working Group on Trade, Investment and Transport concluded in Dushanbe, CCI press centre reports.
According to the source, the participants confirmed the intention to develop the Tajik-Pakistani trade-economic cooperation, stressing the need to increase mutual trade turnover with the use of Pakistani seaports by Tajikistan, as well as the signing in Kabul of a trilateral agreement between Tajikistan, Pakistan and Afghanistan on transit trade.
The prospects for increasing the volume of trade turnover between the two countries through the organization of joint exhibitions, fairs, business forums of Pakistani-Tajik entrepreneurs, and intensification of the work of the Joint Business Council of Pakistan and Tajikistan were discussed.
The CD-ROM “Business guide of the Republic of Tajikistan – 2017” was presented to Pakistan delegation. To date, this is the only guide to Tajikistan, which contains not only an overview of Tajikistan’s natural, historical and cultural sites, but also information on the representatives of the business community of Tajikistan in the areas of activity, the latest information on the country’s infrastructure and much more, allowing to create a successful business in Tajikistan. The Pakistani side invited the representatives of Tajikistan to visit the International Exhibition “EXPO-2017” in Karachi in November with the participation of large companies of Asia, Africa and Europe.
