Philip de Leon: “There are a lot of opportunities in Tajikistan for business development and U.S.-Tajik entrepreneurs should widely use these opportunities”
DUSHANBE, 14.07.2017 /NIAT “Khovar”/. Current state and prospects of partnership between the United States and the Republic of Tajikistan in the areas of trade and economy were mainly discussed at the meeting of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan His Excellency Emomali Rahmon with the head of the U.S.-Tajikistan Business Council Philip de Leon.
The meeting, which was held today in the Palace of the Nation, was assessed efficient and effective by Philip de Leon.
“The purpose of the U.S.-Tajikistan Business Council is to better establish cooperation between entrepreneurs of the two countries, strengthen trade cooperation, attract investment, find new partners, and discuss the existing problems for deepening priority sectors”, — said Philip de Leon.
According to him, today there are a lot of opportunities in Tajikistan for the business development and it was expressed confidence that the businessmen of the two countries will widely use these opportunities.
As part of the agenda, the councils, in close partnership with AmCham Tajikistan, held today, July 14 a business forum in Dushanbe to present the visiting companies’ ideas, products and services, and to identify mutually beneficial opportunities.
Members of the U.S. Trade Delegation include the founding members of the USKGZBC and USTJBC – AGCO, Baker & McKenzie, and General Electric – and a newer member, the American Councils for International Education.
