Tajik Foreign Minister attended the 40th Meeting of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Group 77 and China
DUSHANBE, 25.07.2017. /NIAT “Khovar”/. On September 22 at the United Nations Headquarters in New York Sirodjidin Aslov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan attended the 40th Meeting of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Group 77 and China.
According to the MFA Information Department, in his statement Tajik Foreign Minister stressed the importance of the adoption of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and also noted the willingness of the UN member states, including Tajikistan for its full implementation.
The Minister stated that Tajikistan recently presented its Voluntary National Review (VNR) on the implementation of the 2030 Agenda during the High Level Political Forum (HLPF) -2017. Minister also noted that Tajikistan, in order to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals has adopted the National Development Strategy for the period until 2030.
At the end of his statement, Minister Aslov called on G-77 member states to participate actively in the implementation of the International Decade for Action «Water for Sustainable Development, 2018-2028».
