Tajik-Japanese bilateral relations discussed in Tokio
DUSHANBE, 26.09.2017. /NIAT “Khovar”/. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Hamrokhon Zarifi met on September 22 with the Member of House of Representatives of the National Diet of Japan Tomokatsu Kitagawa.
According to the MFA Information Department, at the beginning of the meeting, the sides emphasized the existence of the high level of cooperation between Tajikistan and Japan in the international arena, in particular on supporting the initiatives of the two countries within the framework of international organizations.
An exchange of views on current issues on the agenda of dynamically developing Tajik-Japanese relations was also held. The need for intensified and coordinated efforts of the draft bilateral agreements that are in a consideration stage at present, and their prompt preparation for the signing was stressed.
The interlocutors noted that the Tajikistan-Japan Inter-parliamentary cooperation, primarily within the framework of the Parliamentary Friendship League, which is developing steadily and has good prospects.
