SCO – Afghanistan Contact Group meeting was held in Moscow
DUSHANBE, 13.10.2017 /NIAT “Khovar”/. The meeting of the SCO-Afghanistan Contact Group at the level of Deputy Foreign Ministers was held on October 11 in Moscow.
According to the MFA Information Department, at the meeting, Tajikistan was represented by Deputy Foreign Minister Mahmadsharif Haqdod. During the meeting took place an exchange of views on combating challenges and threats to region’s security, supporting Afghanistan’s efforts to restore peace and ensure sustainable economic development.
It was expressed an interest in further deepening interaction of the SCO and Afghanistan within the framework of this consultative mechanism, established in 2005.
