DUSHANBE, 15.12.2017 /NIAT “Khovar”/. The award ceremony of the Republican contest “Brand of the Year-2017” entitled “The Peak of Glory” (“Qullai Sharaf”) was held in Hyatt Regency Dushanbe Hotel on December 13. The ceremony was attended by the representatives of ministries and departments of the republic, international organizations, as well as a wide range of representatives of the private sector. NIAT “Khovar” has been reported by the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan.

The event was opened by the Minister of Economic Development and Trade Nematullo Hikmatullozoda. In particular, he has noted that the next round of the contest “Brand of the Year – 2017” entitled “Qullai Sharaf” this year was held with the purpose of promotion and propaganda of the protection of trademark rights and service marks in the Republic of Tajikistan, identifying and presenting proven brands, as well as proposals to promote companies to use branding. According to minister, the promotion of the brand will allow companies to continue developing their business and, by increasing the competitiveness of their products, to promote economic development of the country.

This year, 68 applications were submitted for participation in various nominations from the most famous companies and brands that are gaining popularity.

FC “Istiqlol”, CJSC “Spitamen Bank”, MDO “Imon International”, “Tcell” company, “Eskhata” bank, company “ Coca-Cola Nushokihoi Tojikiston” and “Everest” saloon became the owners of the highest awards “Brand of the Year-2017” in nominations of “Sport, Beauty and Healthy”, “Banking activity”, “Financial services”, “Goods and services of modern technologies (computers, computer programs, communication and telecommunication services)”, “Food and Beverage”, “Services”, etc.

16 people were awarded diplomas, 7 people — bronze medals and 10 people — silver medals for active participation. In addition, 30 people were awarded gold medals “Brand of the Year — 2017” and one person — a gold medal of the World Intellectual Property Organization.

The award ceremony was attended by the Assistant to the President of the Republic of Tajikistan for Economic Affairs Ashurboy Solehzoda, representatives of the public and private sector, as well as by representatives of international organizations.
