4.8-magnitude earthquake shakes Tajikistan
DUSHANBE, 12.01.2018 / NIAT “Khovar”/. The residents of Tajikistan have felt today morning tremors.
According to the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tajikistan, the earthquake was registered at 8:40 local time. The epicenter of the tremors was located in the 125 kilometers to the east of Dushanbe on the Rasht valley territory. The strength of the tremors in epicenter was 4.8-magnitude, and in Dushanbe — 2.5-3.0 magnitude. There is currently no information so far on any casualties or damage from the quake.
We will recall that this is the second perceptible earthquake for this year. The 4.0 magnitude tremors occurred on the territory of the Republic on January 9.
