Foreign Minister of Tajikistan met with the Japanese delegation
DUSHANBE, 26.01.2018. /NIAT “Khovar”/. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirodjidin Aslov has received on January 25 the Japanese delegation headed by the Ambassador-Special Representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan for Central Asia Toshihiro Aiki, who arrived in Dushanbe to attend the Tajik-Japanese ministerial political consultations, as well as the next meeting of the “Central Asia plus Japan” Dialogue.
According to the MFA Information Department, the meeting highly appreciated the results of the political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan and Japan. The two parties also discussed important issues of development of bilateral cooperation.
As Information Department of the Foreign Ministry reports, following the meeting there also took place the signing ceremony of exchange notes between the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Government of Japan on the project of providing advanced equipment for law enforcement agencies of Tajikistan within the framework of the “Program for Economic and Social Development” of the Government of Japan.
The documents were signed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirodjidin Aslov and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to the Republic of Tajikistan Hajime Kitaoka.
