Over 340 kg of drugs burned in Dushanbe
DUSHANBE, 24.01.2018 /NIAT “Khovar”/. Over 340 kg of drugs were burned in a special oven of the Drug Control Agency under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan in accordance with the procedure established by law.
The ceremony of burning drugs was held today, January 24, in the presence of a commission of law enforcement and judicial officials, as well as representatives of domestic and foreign media.
By burning, 341 kg of 196 g of narcotic drugs were destroyed by 28 criminal cases, according to which were made court decisions.
It should be noted that more than 20 tons of narcotics have been burned in oven of the Drug Control Agency under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan over the past 18 years. In 2017, the Agency burned 2 tons 329 kg of drugs, which is compared to the same period of 2016 more than 1 ton 463 kg, or 2.6 times.
