Tajik Ambassador and Qatari Deputy Interior Minister discussed the issues of combating terrorism and extremism
DUSHANBE, 25.01.2018. /NIAT “Khovar”/. The Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan in the State of Qatar Khisrav Sohibzoda met on January 24 with the Deputy Minister of the Interior, the Director General of Public Security of the State of Qatar, General Saad bin Jassim Al-Khoulayfi. NIAT “Khovar” has been reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan.
According to the source, during the conversation, the parties had an exchange of views on important issues of fight against terrorism and extremism, as well as other challenges of regional and international security.
It should be noted diplomatic relations between the Republic of Tajikistan and the State of Qatar were established on 13 December 1994, and on November 2012 the Embassy of the State of Qatar started functioning in Tajikistan. In July 2013 the State of Qatar has appointed its Ambassador to the Republic of Tajikistan who presented his credentials on 4 October 2013. The Republic of Tajikistan has opened its Embassy in the State of Qatar on December 2012. On May 2013 the Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to the State of Qatar was appointed and the Tajik Ambassador presented his credentials to the Head of the State of Qatar on September 17, 2013.
