Development of Tajik-Qatari bilateral relations in various fields discussed in Doha
DUSHANBE, 13.02.2018 /NIAT “Khovar”/. The Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to the State of Qatar Khisrav Sohibzoda met with the State Minister for Foreign Affairs of this country Soltan bin Saad Al-Muraikhi on February 11 in Doha.
As NIAT “Khovar” was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan, the meeting discussed important issues of development of mutual relations of Tajikistan and Qatar in political, trade, economic and social spheres.
“The two parties had an exchange of views on bilateral and multilateral cooperation in combating challenges and threats of regional and international security, in particular, the need to strengthen the collective struggle against terrorism and extremism”, — says the source.
It is reportedly noted that the Ambassador extended the invitation of the Tajik side to the State Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar to attend the International High-Level Conference on Combating Terrorism and Radicalism to be held on May 3-4, 2018 in Dushanbe. The invitation was accepted with gratitude.
Also, on this day Tajik Ambassador Khisrav Sohibzoda met with the Chief Executive Director of the Qatar Museums Office Mansoor bin Ebrahim Al Mahmoud.
“During the meeting the parties discussed the issues of development of mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of museum practice and preservation of cultural and historical heritage, — says the message of the ministry, adding that they also emphasized the need to exchange specialists and experience in the field of museology and conduct training courses, as well as noted the importance of joint organization of exhibitions of historical and cultural heritage in the further strengthening of friendly relations between the peoples of Tajikistan and Qatar”.
The Qatari side expressed readiness to contribute to the promotion and presentation of the rich cultural heritage of the Tajiks in the museums of Qatar and supported the initiative to sign an agreement on cooperation with the National Museum of Tajikistan.
