Parliament ratified the Agreement on Strategic Partnership between Tajikistan and Turkmenistan
DUSHANBE, 07.03.2018 /NIAT «Khovar»/. The MPs of the Lower Chamber of the Parliament of the country have ratified the Agreement on Strategic Partnership between the Republic of Tajikistan and Turkmenistan at the regular meeting of the fourth session.
According to the Parliament of the country, it was noted that this document was signed taking into account the common history and culture of the peoples of Tajikistan and Turkmenistan, as well as on the basis of mutual recognition and respect for the rights of independence of each state in the implementation of foreign policy. The Agreement promotes to develop the two states bilateral relations at a qualitatively new level.
It should be noted that the Agreement on Strategic Partnership between the Republic of Tajikistan and Turkmenistan was signed during the official visit of the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to the Republic of Tajikistan in November 2017.
