The 1st Meeting of the International Steering Committee of the Dushanbe International High-Level Conference on International Decade for Action “Water for Sustainable Development”, 2018-2028 held in Brazil
DUSHANBE, 20.03.2018. /NIAT “Khovar”/. The 1st Meeting of the International Steering Committee (ISC) of the Dushanbe International High-Level Conference on International Decade for Action “Water for Sustainable Development”, 2018-2028 was held on March 18 in Brasilia, Federative Republic of Brazil. NIAT “Khovar” has been reported by the Ministry of Energy and Water Resources of the Republic of Tajikistan.
According to the source, the meeting was chaired by the First Deputy Minister of Energy and Water Resources of the Republic of Tajikistan, who is the co-chairman of this Committee by the Tajik side. Along with the members of the International Steering Committee, representatives of international and regional organizations took also part in the meeting.
The Draft Program of the Conference, the themes and format of sessions and relation between the Pre-Conference Events and the main program of the Conference and other organizational issues were discussed in the meeting.
It should be noted that on March 22 in New York with the participation of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan will be held a special event to launch the International Decade for Action “Water for Sustainable Development”, 2018-2028, and on June 20-22, in Dushanbe will take place the International High-Level Conference on International Decade for Action “Water for Sustainable Development”, 2018-2028.
