Tajik delegation attended 2018 Astana Economic Forum
DUSHANBE, 28.05.2018 /NIAT “Khovar”/. The delegation of the Republic of Tajikistan led by the First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the country Zavqi Zavqizoda on May 16-19 attended 2018 Astana Economic Forum in Kazakhstan.
The high-level plenary meeting was held with the participation of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev. It was also attended by well known persons in the field of politics and economics, as well as by experts on world technology who also made speeches.
Accoring to the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan, a high-level meeting on “Macroeconomic policy for sustainable economic and financial development: the experience of fiscal and monetary policy responses to external threats” was held as part of the forum, as well as a conference with the participation of ministers on issues of regional development of trade and transport.
At the above-mentioned meetings, the delegation of Tajikistan put forward a number of proposals, taking into account the country’s economic interests regarding directions to expand regional cooperation in ensuring macroeconomic stability, reducing possible threats to the economy, as well as arranging an effective monetary and credit system, seeking ways to strengthen trade, transport, services and improve financial support by international lending institutions.
