Tajik PM Qohir Rasulzoda: “Russia is one of the main trading partners of Tajikistan”
DUSHANBE, 31.05.2018 /NIAT “Khovar”/. Russian Federation is one of the main trade partners of the Republic of Tajikistan. It was stated today by Prime Minister of Tajikistan Qohir Rasulzoda at a press conference, which was held following a meeting with the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev.
“In this regard, we have a great potential for increasing trade and economic indicators. In the first quarter, the trade turnover between Tajikistan and Russia amounted to about 230 million USD, — said Tajik Prime Minister and added that today, more than 300 joint ventures are operating in Tajikistan in the energy, mining, construction and trade sectors”.
Qohir Rasulzoda noted that during the talks the issues related to the stay of Tajik labor migrants on the territory of the Russian Federation were also discussed. In particular, the parties outlined further actions to consider issues related to increasing the registration term for Tajik citizens, simplifying the requirements and terms for obtaining a patent, as well as the legal status of family members of labor migrants and students studying in Russian universities.
