DUSHANBE, 26.07.2018. /NIAT “Khovar”/. This morning, the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon visited the Roghun hydroelectric power plant /HPP/ to get acquainted with the progress of construction work.

Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon, accompanied by Prime Minister of the country Qohir Rasulzoda, got acquainted with the process of the construction work at this facility, where high-quality works are currently held on 78 sites under round-the-clock, as well as had fruitful meeting and talk with engineering and technical staff.

The acquaintance of the Head of State began on the site of construction of the first stage of the Rogun HPP dam, which is considered to be the key in the construction of this facility.

Here, the President of the country was informed that during the construction of the first stage of the dam, along with the execution of ground works, the installation of control and measuring equipment was also carried out simultaneously.

Following reviewing the progress of works on separate sites of the Roghun HPP dam, President Emomali Rahmon attended the commissioning ceremony of the first stage of the conveyor line.

In the continuation of trip to Rogun HPP, the Founder of Peace and National Unity –Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and Prime Minister of the country Qohir Rasulzoda got acquainted with the current state of the facility “Soyi obi shur” and the protective dam, which was constructed in 2015.

The Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon at the control site got acquainted with the progress of the concrete laying and installation of reinforcement at the transition site of CT-1 and CT-2 construction tunnels, the station management building, as well as the facade works of the building of gas-insulated switchgear, the current state of the main dam and the activity of builders on other sites.

At the Roghun HPP the President of the country Emomali Rahmon got also acquainted with the gas-insulated switchgear, installed on the territory of 1850 square meters. There are installed 19 gas-insulated switchgears (500 kV) and 4 gas-insulated switchgears (220 kV). According to responsible persons, here are completed the installation works by 90%.

During the trip to Roghun HPP, the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon got acquainted with the progress of works implementation on the facility’s important sites — in the machines room and transformers building.

As the President of the country Emomali Rahmon was informed, here are going on the works on construction and installation, the drilling of wells for installing anchors, as well as according to the contract and construction general plan, the installation of hydroturbine equipment by foreign and domestic specialists.

The Head of State, as part of his trip, also got acquainted with the progress of construction works on the transition site of CT-1 and CT-2 construction tunnels.

It was informed that to date, the works on the anchor installation, the reinforcement of the walls and the laying of concrete have been completed at the transition site of CT-2 construction tunnel, as well as the painting and reinforcing of the ceiling part is continuing with the involvement of specialists.

The works continue successfully at the transition site of CT-1 construction tunnel with the involvement of builders. According to the project, the total amount of works to be completed on this site is 36 thousand cubic meters. The Leader of the Nation was informed that to date, 15 thousand cubic meters of the total amount of works have been completed.

The President got also familiar with the progress of the preparation of the building and the hydromechanical equipment for the water passage of a possible mudflow, as well as with the progress of implementing works on preventing possible mudflow in 2018.

The Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon in the course of acquaintance, meeting and talks with the builders directed them to timely and high-quality execution of works, as well as gave useful instructions and guidance to responsible persons to control the quality of construction.
