Tajikistan assumed the CICA Chairmanship from China
DUSHANBE, 25.09.2018 /NIAT “Khovar”/. On September 24, on the sidelines of the 73rd session of the UN General Assembly, there was held a special meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA), in which Tajikistan assumed the chairmanship of CICA from the People’s Republic of China. NIAT “Khovar” has been reported by the MFA Information Department of the Republic of Tajikistan.
Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Muhriddin participated and addressed the meeting and in the course of his statement briefed Ministers and high-ranking guests with further plans of the Chairmanship of the Republic of Tajikistan in CICA.
The meeting, chaired by S. Muhriddin, was also made speech by the Foreign Ministers of China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Turkey and the Deputy Foreign Ministers of Bangladesh, Cambodia, India, Iran, and Thailand.
