DUSHANBE, 05.12.2018. /NIAT “Khovar”/. On December 5, the National Bank of Tajikistan (NBT) determined the official exchange rate of foreign currencies for accounting and payment of customs duties as follows:

1 USD = 9.4256 TJS,

1 Euro = 10.7461 TJS

1 Russian ruble = 0.1418 TJS.

Also on December 5, the average selling rate of cash foreign currencies in credit institutions of Tajikistan is:

1 USD – 9.4300 TJS,

1 Euro – from 10.6700 to 10.7200 TJS,

1 Russian ruble – 0.1405 to 0.1415 TJS.

NBT warns that foreign exchange operations are prohibited outside bank branches, bank service center offices, as well as at ATMs and payment terminals located within the country. Failure to comply with these requirements will be considered a violation of the law and violators could face punitive damages and criminal charges.
