Tajiks Named Best Russian Language Experts in a CIS-wide Contest
DUSHANBE, 10.01.2019 (NIAT Khovar) – The winners of Young Scientists International Contest of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), which ended in late December 2018 in Russia were announced today.
The first place in the “Studies of Russian, including in comparison with the native language of the applicant” category was taken by Khayom Teshaev (pictured) from Tajikistan, said the head of the World Literature Department at the Russian-Tajik Slavonic University in Dushanbe Marina Rusakova.
Teshaev is the head of the Translation Department and Intercultural Communication of Russian Philology of the Tajik National University.
Another Tajik citizen, S. Rahmatulloeva took first place in the “Russian Language teaching methodology” category.
Additionally, a young teacher from the World Literature Department of the Russian-Tajik Slavonic University Nasiba Abdulhaqova took second place in the “Research in the field of Russian literature, including in comparison with the literature of the applicant’s country” category.
The event was organized by the State Institute of the Russian Language named after A.S.Pushkin.
“Teachers, researchers, specialists and graduate students under the age of 35 and citizens of the CIS, were invited to participate in the contest,” noted Rusakova.
The winners received diplomas, the opportunity to have their work published in the journal Russian Language Abroad and an invitation to intern at the institute for a period of two-weeks.
