Tajik Officials Departed for St. Petersburg to Attend the Interparliamentary Assembly of CIS
DUSHANBE, 17.04.2019. (NIAT Khovar) — This morning, a parliamentary delegation of Tajikistan led by the Speaker of the Assembly of Representatives of the Supreme Assembly of Tajikistan Shukurjon Zuhurov departed for St. Petersburg, Russia at the invitation of the Chairperson of the Council of the Interparliamentary Assembly of the Commonwealth of Independent States (IPA CIS) Valentina Matviyenko.
The delegation’s purpose is to attend the events of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly, including the 49th IPA CIS Plenary Session and the Interparliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization.
Monitoring of elections in CIS states, preparations for the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 in 2020, and the fight against terrorism are on the agenda of the IPA CIS session.
