Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi: China Supports Tajikistan’s Strategic Goals
DUSHANBE, 21.05.2019. (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, following the meeting with the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of China Wang Yi gave a briefing for journalists.
“China and Tajikistan support comprehensive strategic partnerships. We have bilateral contacts to implement common plans in jointly countering challenges and threats,” noted Yi.
“Relations between China and Tajikistan now have four special features — special neighborliness, good friendship, reliable partnership and brotherhood. We need to implement the political and economic agreements reached at the highest level,” he continued.
China supports and will maintain the strategic goals proposed by President Rahmon, such as energy independence, breaking the communication deadlock, ensuring food security and accelerated industrialization of the country, stated Yi.
