Slovak Minister of Foreign Affairs: Tajikistan is Protecting Us All
DUSHANBE, 22.05.2019. (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, following the meeting with the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic, the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Miroslav Lajcak, who is on a visit to Dushanbe, gave a briefing for journalists.
“President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon gave a detailed description of the situation in Afghanistan. Afghanistan is our joint problem, where our servicemen also participate in the NATO military contingent. Tajikistan is an outpost on the border line, it is protecting the border, protects all of us, for which we are very grateful,” said Lajcak.
“An open and meaningful talk took place during the meeting with the President of Tajikistan,” stated Lajcak.
Lajcak arrived in Tajikistan as the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office to familiarize himself with the projects being implemented in the country. This year the OSCE and Tajikistan mark the 25th anniversary of cooperation.
