Tajik and Uzbek Foreign Ministers Sign Protocol on Ratification Exchange of the Agreement on Strategic Partnership
DUSHANBE, 18.05.2019. (NIAT Khovar) – The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Muhriddin and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov signed the Protocol on the Ratification Exchange of the Strategic Partnership Agreement between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan yesterday in Dushanbe.
The Agreement on Strategic Partnership between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan was signed by the counterparts on August 17 last year during President Emomali Rahmon’s state visit to Uzbekistan.
According to paragraph 16 of the agreement, this document is legally binding from May 17, 2019.
