Tajikistan to host International Festival of Culture and Tourism July 26
DUSHANBE, 16.07.2019. (NIAT Khovar) – The Khorog Central Park in Tajikistan’s eastern Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region will host the second International Festival of Culture and Tourism, entitled “The Roof of the World,” on July 26-28.
The festival will bring together representatives from Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, the United States, Latvia, India, Afghanistan and Pakistan, as well as from Tajikistan’s regions of Sughd, Khatlon and Badakhshan.
The festival activities will feature several cultural programs, folklore exhibition, vocational skills training and documentaries.
The city of Khorog, capital of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region in Tajikistan, is situated 2,100 meters above sea level in the heart of the Pamir Mountains in Central Asia. The revival of Khorog Park contributes a significant public green space and has become an integral part of the circulation through the city.
