Tajikistan and the UN Discuss Cooperation On Disaster Risk Reduction
DUSHANBE, 22.08.2019 (NIAT Khovar) – The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan Muzaffar Huseinzoda met with the Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Disaster Risk Reduction Mami Mizutori and the Deputy Administrator of UNDP Asako Okai yesterday in Dushanbe.
The parties discussed the outcomes of the Regional Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction and the Implementation of the Sendai Framework for 2015-2030, which was held on August 21 in Dushanbe, reported the Tajik Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The parties also exchanged views on the issues of strengthening the cooperation between Tajikistan and the UN institutions on disaster risk reduction, as well as the perspectives of joint actions in this direction.
