DUSHANBE, 04.09.2019 (NIAT Khovar) – On September 4, the National Bank of Tajikistan (NBT) determined the official exchange rate of foreign currencies for accounting and payment of customs duties as follows:

1 USD = 9.6930 TJS,

1 Euro = 10.6080 TJS,

1 Russian ruble = 0.1444 TJS.

Also on September 4, the average selling rate of cash foreign currencies in credit institutions of Tajikistan is:

1 USD – from 9.6800 to 9.7000 TJS,

1 Euro – from 10.6080 to 10.7100 TJS,

1 Russian ruble – from 0.1440 to 0.1465 TJS.

NBT warns that foreign exchange operations are prohibited outside bank branches, bank service center offices, as well as at ATMs and payment terminals located within the country. Failure to comply with these requirements will be considered a violation of the law and violators could face punitive damages and criminal charges.
