DUSHANBE, 19.12.2019 (NIAT Khovar) – On December 19, the National Bank of Tajikistan (NBT) determined the official exchange rate of foreign currencies for accounting and payment of customs duties as follows:

1 USD = 9.6800 TJS,

1 Euro = 10.7593 TJS,

1 Russian ruble = 0.1540 TJS.

Also on December 19, the average selling rate of cash foreign currencies in credit institutions of Tajikistan is:

1 USD – from 9.6800 to 9.7000 TJS,

1 Euro – from 10.7593 to 10.9000 TJS,

1 Russian ruble – from 0.1540 to 0.1557 TJS.

NBT warns that foreign exchange operations are prohibited outside bank branches, bank service center offices, as well as at ATMs and payment terminals located within the country. Failure to comply with these requirements will be considered a violation of the law and violators could face punitive damages and criminal charges.
