DUSHANBE, 26.12.2019 (NIAT Khovar) – On December 26, the National Bank of Tajikistan (NBT) determined the official exchange rate of foreign currencies for accounting and payment of customs duties as follows:

1 USD = 9.6958 TJS,

1 Euro = 10.7652 TJS,

1 Russian ruble = 0.1566 TJS.

Also on December 26, the average selling rate of cash foreign currencies in credit institutions of Tajikistan is:

1 USD – from 9.6958 to 9.7000 TJS,

1 Euro – from 10.7652 to 10.8000 TJS,

1 Russian ruble – from 0.1566 to 0.1580 TJS.

NBT warns that foreign exchange operations are prohibited outside bank branches, bank service center offices, as well as at ATMs and payment terminals located within the country. Failure to comply with these requirements will be considered a violation of the law and violators could face punitive damages and criminal charges.
