Tajik and Italian FMs Discuss Bilateral Cooperation
DUSHANBE, 13.12.2019 (NIAT Khovar) – Today, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Muhriddin met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy Luigi Di Maio.
The meeting took place in Rome within the framework of the International Conference “Italy and Central Asia: Strengthening Mutual Understanding, Cooperation and Partnership,” reports the Tajik Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The meeting focused on the current state and prospects for bilateral political, economic, commercial and cultural cooperation.
Both ministers also exchanged views on current trends in the region and the world, including security and environmental issues.
Muhriddin invited his colleague to attend the upcoming high-level events in Tajikistan in 2020, in particular, the next conferences on countering terrorism and challenges of security, and the “International Decade for Action ‘Water for Sustainable Development, 2018-2028.'»
