Delegations from 15 countries also participated in the meeting, reported the Tajik Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The meeting participants discussed the achievements of their countries in the field of urban water management, including drinking water and wastewater.
While noting President Emomali Rahmon’s international water initiatives and their role in achieving sustainable development, Usmonzoda proposed to hold next meeting of the Board of Trustees of RCUWM in June 2020 in Dushanbe within the International Conference on the International Decade for Action “Water for Sustainable Development, 2018-2028.” The proposal was unanimously approved by the meeting participants.
RCUWM was established in 2002 under the auspices of UNESCO and is governed by a Board of Trustees.
