The Number of Entrepreneurs in Tajikistan is Rising
DUSHANBE, 22.01.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – The number of entrepreneurs in 2019 has increased by over 35,000 (6.7%) over 2018. The increase includes 4,000 (5.4%) sole proprietors working by certificate, 2,300 (7.9 %) individual entrepreneurs working by a patent, and 7,800 farmers, according to the Tajik Statistical Agency.
Since the start of this year, a total of 561,300 individual entrepreneurs have been registered in the country, of which 78,500 are individual entrepreneurs working by certificate, 319,100 individual entrepreneurs working by patent, and 163,000 farmers.
“Of the total number of registered individual entrepreneurs in 2019, 24,4000 individual entrepreners ceased their work, including 3,000 individual entrepreneurs working by certificate, 19,400 individual entrepreneurs working by patent, and 2,000 farmers,” the agency report notes.
The number of individual entrepreneurs is 295,500.
The number of individual entrepreneurs in comparison with the same period last year has increased by 10,800 (3.8%).
