On April 15, the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Tajikistan, Abdurahmon Abdurahmonzoda, met with Egypt’s newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Tajikistan, Tomer Hammod.
According to the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, the two sides discussed the current state and future prospects of bilateral relations, noting significant potential for cooperation in trade, investment, industry, agriculture and tourism.
The officials emphasized that existing economic and trade opportunities between Tajikistan and Egypt remain underutilized and highlighted the need to strengthen cooperation and expand direct ties across all sectors.
They also discussed preparations for the next meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission.
