FM Muhriddin Meets with Malaysian Counterpart
DUSHANBE, 07.02.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – On Thursday in Putrajaya, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan Sirodjidin Muhriddin met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia Dato Saifuddin Bin Abdullah.
The meeting focused on the issues relating to the current state and prospects for development of cooperation between Tajikistan and Malaysia in political, economic, trade, investment, energy, tourism, agriculture, industry, air communication, and cultural spheres, reports the Tajik Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The parties also discussed strengthening the legal basis, joint fight against terrorism and extremism as well as other issues of mutual interest within international and regional organizations.
The two officials noted the importance of establishing high-level contacts and exchange visits in the development of bilateral cooperation.
They also stressed the need for continuing political consultations between the foreign ministries and the enhancement of cooperation in various fields.
