FM Muhriddin Says 212 Tajik Women and Children Will Be Repatriated from Syria
DUSHANBE, 18.02.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – Per President Emomali Rahmon’s instructions, the negotiations on repatriating Tajik citizens from Syria are in progress, according to the Minister of Foreign Affairs Tajikistan Sirojiddin Muhriddin.
About 500 Tajik citizens are currently in Syrian camps.
“Negotiations on repatriating 212 Tajik women and children from different camps controlled by Damascus and the Syrian democratic forces are ongoing,” Muhriddin said.
Tajikistan is negotiating jointly with UNICEF and the Red Cross to repatriate and rehabilitate its citizens.
