DUSHANBE, 22.02.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President Emomali Rahmon attended the gala event celebrating the 27th anniversary of the founding of the Armed Forces of Tajikistan, which took place at the Kokhi Borbad Palace on February 22.

President Emomali Rahmon shared his thoughts regarding the formation of the Armed Forces and passing the most difficult trials to its transforming into an organized, powerful and reliable structure which protects the people of Tajikistan.

In the difficult years of the imposed internal conflict and armed confrontation, the personnel of the Armed Forces honorably fulfilled their filial duty before the homeland and people of Tajikistan and made a huge contribution to normalizing the situation, i.e. ending the bloody war, ensuring peace and stability, and combating terrorist and violent extremist groups.

The head of state noted that due to the efforts and aspiration of the courageous and patriotic people, the constitutional order in Tajikistan was restored, and a favorable foundation was laid for peace, tranquility, political stability, and condition for further development of various economic and social spheres.

“We always honor the memory of those courageous sons who laid down their lives to restore the constitutional order, and worked toward protecting the borders of our country. We will never forget their names and deeds,» emphasized President Emomali Rahmon.
