Kyrgyz CEC Reps Participate as Int’l Observers in Tajikistan’s Parliamentary Elections
DUSHANBE, 02.03.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, representatives of the Kyrgyz Central Electoral Commission (CEC) participated as international observers in the CIS and SCO Missions at the elections of Deputies to the Assembly of Representatives of Tajikistan, reports Kabar news agency.
Also, Kyrgyz MPs, employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Kyrgyz Embassy in Tajikistan took part as international observers from Kyrgyzstan.
As part of the monitoring of the election campaign, on February 29 observers from Kyrgyzstan held a meeting with chairman of the CCER of Tajikistan, as well as familiarized themselves with the work of the precinct election commissions.
On March 1, Kyrgyz representatives observed the voting process in various cities of Tajikistan, in particular, they were present at the opening of polling stations, registration of voters and local observers, issuance of ballots, during the voting procedure.
Also, they observed the procedures for closing polling stations and counting of votes at polling stations.
The final press conference of the CIS Observation Mission, which will be attended by Kyrgyz CEC Deputy Chairman Eshimov, will be held on March 2.
