Khovar’s Director Meets with Indian Embassy’s Second Secretary
DUSHANBE, 08.07.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – Khovar’s Director Saidali Siddik met with the Second Secretary in charge of political and information affairs of Indian Embassy in Tajikistan Manita Kumari.
Siddik spoke about the development of bilateral relations between Tajikistan and India, the role of the media in strengthening interstate relations, including Khovar and its radio channel as a central information source in covering news and reports related to Tajikistan and India, presenting opportunities in strengthening bilateral cooperation in the economic, scientific, cultural and tourism spheres.
While expressing gratitude for the meeting, Kumari expressed the readiness of the embassy and, in general, her country to establish active cooperation in informing and representing India to the Tajik people.
She also noted that the Indian side is ready for the development of bilateral cooperation in all areas and is making every effort to achieve significant results.
According to her, Indian officials consider the Tajik chairmanship in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization next year and the holding of the next anniversary meeting of the heads of state in Dushanbe in 2021 a sign of high confidence in Tajikistan’s position in this authoritative organizations and hope that India will ensure the participation of its representative at this high-level event.
The parties also expressed hope that the establishment of bilateral relations between Khovar and the Indian central information body can play an important role in the further development of bilateral relations.
