President Emomali Rahmon Sent a Message of Condolences to His Kyrgyz Counterpart

DUSHANBE, 30.07.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon sent a message of condolences to the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbay Jeenbekov.
The message, reads in particular:
“Dear Sooronbay Sharipovich,
In connection with the announcement in Kyrgyzstan of a day of nationwide mourning in memory of the victims of the coronavirus pandemic, I express our sincere condolences and empathy to the entire fraternal people of Kyrgyzstan with the wishes of a speedy recovery to all those currently battling the illness.
We are following with deep concern the alarming trend of the global spread of this dangerous virus infection.
I am confident that the friendly Kyrgyzstan will proudly overcome the issues arising from the pandemic, and that the serious measures taken by the government of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan to prevent the spread of this virus and stabilize the epidemiological situation will soon yield desired results.
Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan are bound by the traditions of good neighborliness, constructive cooperation and mutual support, which have deep roots in history.
I would like to take advantage of this opportunity to assure you that the Kyrgyz side can always count on our support and assistance.»
