Sughd Region Increases Fish Production Sevenfold
DUSHANBE, 14.07.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – Over the last six month, fish production in Sughd has increased, reaching 5.1 million somoni, which is 6.8 times more than in the same period last year.
In general, the catch of fish in the region for the first half of this year amounted to 252.2 tonnes, reports Regional Fish Farming Department.
The total fish catch is mainly made up of species such as common carp — 39.4%, silver carp — 27.8%, asp — 23.3%, pikeperch — 3.1% and other varieties — 6.3%.
