Tajik-Azerbaijani Bilateral Cooperation Discussed in Dushanbe
DUSHANBE, 18.07.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Khusrav Noziri received the Azerbaijani Ambassador to Tajikistan Hasan Mammadzade at his request.
The meeting focused on a set of issues relating to the bilateral cooperation, including the progress in implementing the agreements reached during President Emomali Rahmon’s official visit to Azerbaijan in August 2018.
The parties also discussed the armed clashes that have been periodically occurring since July 12 on the Azerbaijani-Armenian border.
In this context, the extreme concern of the Tajik side was conveyed in connection with the escalation of the situation on the border, which has led to human casualties.
The hope was expressed for an early resolution of the conflict by political and diplomatic methods.
