Tajikistan Expresses Extreme Concern Over the Aggravation of the Situation on the Azerbaijani-Armenian Border
DUSHANBE, 16.07.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – Tajikistan expresses its extreme concern over the aggravation of the situation and the armed incident on the Azerbaijani-Armenian border, which has led to human casualties. This is stated in today’s statement of the Tajik Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In this regard, the ministry calls on the parties to show maximum restraint in order to prevent further escalation of the difficult situation and adhere to the ceasefire regime.
“We hope that Azerbaijan and Armenia, with which Tajikistan has traditional friendly relations, will return to the use of politico-diplomatic methods of resolving emerging issues as soon as possible,” the ministry said in a statement.
Also, the ministry expressed its deep condolences to the families and friends of the victims.
