FM Muhriddin Attends CICA Special Virtual Ministerial Meeting

DUSHANBE, 24.09.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – Today, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Sirojiddin Muhriddin attended the Special Virtual Meeting of Foreign Ministers of the member states of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) as the Chair of the Conference.
In his statement, Muhriddin presented detailed information on the 2 year activity of Tajikistan as a Chairman of CICA and talked about achievements and priorities of the country in the CICA.
As the Tajikistan’s Chairmanship in the CICA came to an end, Muhriddin expressed gratitude to all CICA member states for their support and active participation in the events over the past two years.
He also stressed that Tajikistan intends to continue multifaceted interaction with CICA member states to pursue the goals and objectives of the CICA.
Tajikistan has chaired the CICA from September 2018 through September 2020. The chairmanship passed to Kazakhstan for the upcoming period.
